help me last-minute shop for someone who wants flannel

I am a last-minute Christmas shopper by nature and I never ask for lists. I think that providing a list ruins the surprise of getting a gift. I usually ask a family member what that person wants which makes sure that no one already bought him the gift.

My father is out of touch with the fashion world. unfortunately, this year, when I asked about what to get him, the answer was “he needs flannel shirts. his old ones have holes in them”.

Now, we aren’t talking flannel as in “patterns are in this season” rather, flannel that screams, “I’m a lumberjack”

I’m a person who appreciates fashion and I would be ashamed of myself if I were to buy him a lumberjack flannel shirt.I have to find a happy medium. He’s obviously not concerned about the fashion aspect, rather, the warmth and comfort of the shirt.
I need to find a happy medium. please give me your ideas for shirts to purchased for him which are flannel, yet, fashionable!

Filson isn’t so much “fashionable” as “timeless”, but I do know that at least a couple of actors (whose names I’m totally blanking on, of course) have bought stuff from there.

How about a solid-colored flannel? :slight_smile:

Cabela’s, for solid or patterned flannel, or chamois-cloth shirts, which are softer and heavier. My dad likes those a lot, and I’ve got one or two that have worn well for years.
