Help me make my webcam wireless please. (Also cute chicks)

Not porn.

I am trying to broadcast my baby chickens, because they are freaking adorable and should be seen by the world: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/teresa-s-chickens. Problem is that they are located in a bathroom on the other end of my house from my desktop computer. Currently I have the webcam plugged into my laptop and broadcasting from there, but that makes my laptop no longer available for fun-reading-SMBD-in-bed-times.

I guess my ideal solution would be some sort of wireless transmitter I could plug into the male USB port on the webcam and a receiver I could plug into the female port on my desktop. That would make my life sweet. But, it’s really hard to google for, I keep getting wireless adapters for computers, and that’s not what I need. A 50-foot USB cable would also work, but would be pretty inconvenient and probably hella expensive.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this?

Search for “IP Camera.” As a bonus, you’ll also be able to view your feed on the Internet or mobile phone whenever you’re away from your house.

No suggestions, just squee for your babies. What breed are they?

This is NOT what I came in to this thread for!

Whelp, we have
[ul]
[li]One Partridge Cochin, the solid dark one that seems to be the boss, who has feathered feet and will lay a light-colored egg.[/li][li]Two Easter Eggers: they are both somewhat more speckeldy than the others. Up close you can see they have puffs on their cheeks. They will lay either blue, green, or pink eggs, but one chicken will lay one color and stick to it.[/li][li]One Welsummer, who will lay a very dark egg.[/li][li]One Speckled Sussex, who will lay a medium brown egg.[/li][/ul]
The Welsummer and Sussex look very similar, it took me a good two days to feel confident in saying who was which breed. The Sussex is ever so slightly smaller and has a yellower belly.

The Sussex is far and away my favorite. The first day I had her I was nervous about her, she didn’t eat or drink or poo for hours after I unpacked her, and just wanted to sleep. Now she’s eaten and drank, and judging from the number of times I’ve had to wash her tiny hiney, she’s got pooing down as well. She’s very calm and the least chicken-like of the girls, when I hold her she reminds me of a tiny sparrow. I think I like the Cochin the next best, she’s such a bossy-pants.
