Boredom is usually going from Tedium to Apathy and back with the occasional side trip to Monotony. Going all the way to Ennui is an exception.

I would more prefer to use the unit trump as a measure of mendacity. Most ordinary mendacity would be measured in millitrumps or even microtrumps. The eponymous originator of the term, paradoxically, is known not for his mere trumps, but rather for speaking in tens of kilotrumps.
