Help me pick out a phone that works on the Verizon Wireless network

I’m on a prepaid plan, but someone I know has a Verizon Wireless unlimited plan. The cost would be about the same so I’m looking to switch providers to join their plan.

However my phone won’t work on their network. I need a phone, and I’m looking at either new or used. Here are my requirements:

[ul]
[li]Android (I don’t like apple)[/li][li]Under $250[/li][li]Has a microSD slot that can handle a 128GB microSD card[/li][li]32GB internal memory[/li][/ul]

My current phone has 16GB internal memory. I thought that would be enough, but even with trying to move apps to the SD card, I still am running out of memory. I’d prefer my next phone have 32GB internal memory.

So what are my options? I am checking swappa, and I am perfectly fine with a used phone. I don’t need the $800 top of the line new phones, a phone that was top of the line 2-3 years ago is fine by me.

What models should I look into?

Look into the Samsung Galaxy S 5 or 6.

We just got my mom her first smart phone, on my Verizon plan.
If you want new, take a look at a Samsung Galaxy J7.

I don’t care as much about the phone being new, so last year I bought a refurbished Samsung Galaxy 5 on Amazon for about $200, and I would do it again. If you go this route, be sure to read the description, to make sure it works on the Verizon network.

If you need to have a microSD slot, Samsung seems to be your best bet.

unlocked Moto G5 plus? I have an older G4, really like it.

here’s the 64GB unlocked ad free version, hope it helps

I have a Nexus 6P (64GB, unlocked, purchased from Google) that I will sell at a very fair price. PM if interested.
