My fiance and I are getting hitched in a few weeks and we’re at the point of picking our processional/recessional music. We’ll have a pianist (he came with the package at the place we’re having the wedding). We just have to pick 3 or so pieces for him to play. The only thing I know for sure is I don’t want the Wedding March or Pachelbel’s Canon. I’ve listened to several pieces online and have kindof decided I’d like some more contemporary piano music (sortof like George Winston maybe, but brighter in mood?).
Does anyone have any good suggestions of composers/pianists I could check out that play pretty contemporary stuff?
I helped run a wedding a few years ago; the processional was “Jupiter - The Bringer of Jollity” from The Planets by Holst, and the recessional was “Throne Room & End Credits” from Star Wars by Williams.
