However, my favorite museum in Brooklyn is the New York Transit Museum (which has a very small Manhattan annex and gift shop tucked away in Grand Central Station), which is located underground in de-commissioned subway station. Located just across the Brooklyn Bridge not far from Borough Hall station, the Transit Museum is a short walk from Dumbo & Brooklyn Bridge Park. You can stroll the waterfront and take in the views, have amazing pizza at either Grimaldi’s or Juliana’s (or the Sicilian slices at L&B Spumoni Gardens), have gourmet ice cream at Ample Hills Creamery or the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory, and fins some interesting galleries and shops.
