What he said. I’m a nickname-y person - I give everyone I know nicknames, but they come on their own. You can’t force a nickname, and you can’t choose your own.
You could base the nickname on the guy’s name, or some characteristic of his.

Some fantastic suggestions!! So far I’m leaning toward Beefcake, Corn Dog, or Pork Chop, but really, it’s going to be tough to choose, there are so many hilarious ones. Maybe I’ll rotate them.
For the record, I’m a nickname-y person, too (Have one for each of my 2 sibs and each of my kids.), and I agree that they’re best when they arise organically, but this isn’t that kind of situation. I’d rather call him by a nickname then his real name if he’s going to call me Cupcake.

Weird. I was going to say Pork Chop as well. That is what I call my youngest daughter and I don’t know why. She is very petite and girly but thinks the name is funny.
