A friend of a friend gave me this supah-fantastic vintage coat that used to belong to her mother. It’s double-breasted wool with fluffy fur cuffs and a fluffy fur rim around the bottom of the coat. It’s in absolutely immaculate condition (are you sure you don’t want to sell this on Ebay? I asked) . . .
. . . or it WAS, until I wore it (for the first time) this morning to brush snow off of the cars! I got the fur around the bottom of the coat all wet, and now it has, for lack of a better phrase, “gone home” on me!
In other words, the furry part that got wet is now curly fur! (Strangely enough, this has endeared the coat to me even more–a curly-haired kindred spirit!)
So help me! What do I do? If I wait for it to dry, can I just brush it straight again? Or do I have to take it to my hair stylist for a blow-out and a flat-iron?
