Help! need anti-booting software advice

I am sick and tired of idiots booting me when I am in Yahoo! chat.

Anyone know what legitimate software I can use to prevent being booted?

I am running Zone Alarm and Black Ice Defender firewalls, set at maximum security, and I still keep getting booted by the jerks in Yahoo! chat.

Better yet, some kind of software that returns the boot code to the sender

I need to clarify. It seems we don’t have too many chat room users here at the SDMB.

When you go into the Yahoo! chat rooms, there are people there who have malicious programs that they can use to deliberate attack your system and knock you offline, without the victim downloading or opening anything. There are many varieties of attacks, ranging from instant message bombs, which fill your screen with dozens of im windows, up to locking up your entire system, causing you to have to restart the system.

They call these attacks “boots” (or aka “punts”) because they boot you out of the chat rooms or off of your connection entirely
More specifically, even if one has their privacy settings set to block out people who are not on their buddylists from contacting them, the attacker can get around the privacy settings and still cause you problems, even if you are running a firewall set to maximum security!

Actually, one doesn’t even have to be inside a chat room to be attacked by a boot program.

There HAS to be a way to stop “booters” from attacking. If so… How?
