Help needed finding Serial# and Auth Key for software

I have Borland C++ Builder 5, bought it with my own money and need it on my laptop for school.

The problem is (this is embarassing :o ) that I need to do a defrag on my laptop and, uh, there’s not enough free space to do so. This is due to having a small harddrive (4.5G) and having [sub]too many fragmented files[/sub].

To free up enough space to do this, I was going to uninstall and then reinstall Borland, since it sucks up 350MB of space. I still have the CD, but I don’t have the sleeve that has the Serial Number and Authorization Key. I’m not sure if I registered with Borland online, honestly.

Is there a way to find this out, either on the computer in the program files, or anything? I really should try to do this, since I’ve already deleted unnecessary programs and files and there’s STILL not enough room. But there’s no way I’m gonna attempt it without the SN and AK. Can anyone help?

No but seriously, if you registered it with Borland, it should be a simple matter. You’re not sure if you registered it? Try telling them that. Or you could just google what you need.

Yeah, now I’m sure that I didn’t register it, since I also found the registration card. :rolleyes: I’m really on the ball and responsible, aren’t I? So if I haven’t registered, what can I do? And how do I google for an answer, what should I search for?

What you can do is to wipe off some other files instead of the compiler.

I suggest you contact Borland, or take Urban Ranger’s suggestion.

I’m going to close this before anyone starts sharing Serial#'s and auth keys.
