You might try some of the Lego games with your 5 year old. Some of the puzzles might require your help, but they are fun, forgiving(you can’t die) and have a lot of humor in them.

A cheap, fun title to download from XBox is ‘Snoopy Flying Ace’, and definitely try ‘Plants vs. Zombies’.

That’s how I played Fallout 3.

I very much prefer 3rd person view in my games. 1st person games don’t make me motion sick or anything, but they just feel wrong to me. Like I don’t get a wide enough field of vision due to lack of peripheral vision and backing out to a 3rd person view brings a wider view of the area to make up for that or something.

Same here. I guess maybe it’s slightly less “immersive” or realistic but I like to be able to see what’s beside or behind me.
