Recently I’ve noticed that when my laptop slows down, I check Windows Task Manager and invariably find that Adobe Flash Player is listed as running twice- exact same image name and description. Anyone have any idea why this is happening, and how I can fix it?
(I’m using Windows 7 and Firefox, if that makes a difference.)

It’s normal behavior due to your browser running one of the processes in a “Protected Mode” to help increase security.
ETA: How much CPU and memory are the processes using in Task Manager? If they’re not using much, there’s probably some other culprit to your slowdowns - look for whatever is using the most resources, and that will be your clue.
