I seem to have a pain running from my lower left back, just over from my spine a couple of inches from my butt, through my left butt cheek, down my outer left side of my leg to my foot. It hurts like a mother, I can’t seem to sit in any position that feels better.
I’m used to some lower back pain, as in a couple of times a year from a pulled muscle or whatever, and even a bit of pain in my left leg. This pain just came on this morning and has been here for a few hours and has not let up. I tried to take some Advil, but that hasn’t helped. I also am having a bit of problem walking. I can still walk, but sometimes it hurts.
Some background. I can not think of any time that I have ever injured anything on that side. I did have a motorcycle accident, but that was six years ago and I would think that it would have come about long before now. Anymore I also can not sleep on my left side as my upper thigh falls asleep, much like it feels now. If I take the pressure off it usually goes away pretty quick. I’m also 30, but I didn’t think I was that old, and I haven’t done anything in the last week or so to agrivate anything.
Is this a pinched nerve, or something else. Also is there anything I can do to get rid of the pain? I have a swim meet tomorrow and it would not be good to try and swim like this. If it’s not a nerve what could it be?
