Mrs Blather’s business (Knit Purl) is listed in Google Local (which I highly recommend, BTW). If you search for “knit” in Portland, OR it is listed first because it is closest to the center of Portland. Search for “yarn” and it is on about the third page after a bunch of other knitting stores. As far as I can tell we are listed in the same categories as the other stores, so I am not sure what is going on. Anyone familiar with Google Local and it’s vagaries? I’m talking about the listing, not the Ad Words ad.
