Well, the hamsters ate my last try at this, so I’m posting it again.
I recently downloaded the latest version of McAfee Spamkiller. The previous version worked pretty well over the past year and I was looking forward to the improvements in the new version.
Downloaded and installed (twice), the bloody thing doesn’t seem to want to function properly. There is no “check mail” button on this version, so I’m at the mercy of whenever the program decides to check for spam on the server. It seems to be random, regardless of what I do.
On one occasion, it identified the spam, I deleted it, and then it downloaded to my inbox anyway. When I tell it to ‘rescue’ an email, the program doesn’t return the rescued document to my inbox, which means I can’t print the email or reply to the sender.
I’m hoping someone can give me a hint on this before I have to call McAfee at $3.00 a minute to get help for the (insert profanity here) program that they sold me. There is online tech help if you have a day to waste waiting for someone to be available.
