I love my Telrad and my telescope. However, I don’t love where my Telrad IS on my telescope. I’d like to reposition it.
Unfortunately, the mount is stuck right on there. Is there a way I can take it off and reposition it? Some solvent I could use?
I don’t know about removing it, but it is possible to get a second mount without getting a new Telrad. Many astronomers have multiple scopes, but only want to use one at a time, so they just swap the Telrad from one to another.
Is it stuck on with double sided foam tape? You could get a fine piece of music wire and saw through the foam. Then use a solvent to remove the residue.
