Help with reference material

I’m in my storyboarding class working on the latest project. My story takes place at a masquerade ball in the 17th century.

Where i am having problems finding reference material is song selection. What sort of music was common at a masquarade ball? I don’t necessarily need an mp3 of it, just an idea of what might have been played.

OK, so maybe a century or so off, but my google search on “Jacobean music” leads to pages titled “Elizabethan and Jacobean music,” so I would suppose the two age’s musics are not that different.
