I was reading these articles on HIV and I am having a hard time understanding just what they mean in the big picture
I was always told if you have HIV you should’nt have unprotected sex with other HIV infected people because you can create a worse “superinfection.” My understanding is you can have one strain of HIV virus and another person can have another strain, and if you have unprotected sex, you can wind up your HIV mutating into a worse strain.
However these two articles seem to imply that in real life that doesn’t happen. That if superinfection does occur it’s rare.
Above are the URLS of the articles. Maybe I am reading them wrong. Can someone more knowledgeable about science decifer them and tell me what they mean in plain old English
