Welcome to the parking lot, Speed. First thing you might notice are the people walking to and from their cars. You see, in this place, people park their cars in orderly rows and then proceed on foot to the store. The store won’t let them take their car inside, so they leave it here.
You also might notice that a lot of these cars are backing out of their parking spaces. Parking lots are angled so that you can simply pull into a space without having to do much maneouvering. That’s what those directional arros in front of the lanes are for.
You might also notice that many of the people backing out are doing this slowly. That’s because they may be parked next to a larger vehicle and are unable to see you until they get out far enough. They have to get out, though, so they’re proceeding with caution.
All of this brings me to my question, Speed. Why the fuck are you tearing through the parking lot at 90 miles an hour? Do you often find yourself cursing, saying, “Goddamn these walking people and slowly-backing out people! Don’t they know I’m over here tearing through like a demon on wheels?” Well news is, sport, they’re in the right and you’re in the wrong. I know, I know how hard it is. Proceeding through a parking lot as if there may be other people in the world besides you can sometimes add twenty, maybe even thirty whole seconds to your parking lot experience. But don’t you think it’s worth it for the time you save not having to clean people and cars out of your tree-cutting blades?
