I found this website today, and wanted to share it with y’all. As a pet person, I am continualy moved by the way animals are able to touch our hearts in so many ways. I have read a few of the epitaths at random and found many stories about how lucky we, as humans, are to have such wonderful companions. To me it is one of the strongest pieces of evidence that there is a God. Humans may be rude, nasty, cruel, short tempered, evil, etc…, but we always have the example of better ways to live all around us. I hope you will enjoy the tributes at The Virtual Pet Cemetery as much as I have.

My mom’s dog was hit by a car and killed just before Easter; I think I may send her the site. She’s surrounded by wonderful friends at work and at home, so she didn’t have to deal with any of that “But it’s just a dog!” crap, but it’s still nice to know that there are others out there who really do understand what it’s like to lose a treasured pet.
Thanks, weirddave, for that link. I lost my cat of 14yrs <her entire life> to cancer back in January. This is a good idea to remember her by. You are very kind, my friend.
