Really? What do you taste like? Not that I want to find out.
I just showed the drone footage of the whale to Mrs. L.A. She had a patient today, and she said the patient had seen it.
Got the oil changed.
I felt for them, the truck still reeks. I cleaned off the floor mat, I think I see the car wash in my future. Now that I know it takes credit cards and I don’t have to take cash to exchange for quarters, I may go more often.
There was a sign in the waiting room that suggested going for a test drive while waiting. It was tempting, but I have spent a ton on stuff for the yard and furniture.
The nesting end tables got delivered today, as did the furnace filters.
The tables are pretty, too pretty to use. I couldn’t believe how they were packed, I opened the box, to find another box padded with foam, cut open that box to find what I thought was another box, but it was just foam padded cardboard on all the table tops.
I have lots of cardboard to put down under mulch.
I don’t know when that will get done though, it looks like this class is going to be a lot of irk, minimum two mini paper posts a day and a three page paper due Friday. A 15 page paper due at the end of the course. Then it will be time for the fall classes to start. He is really afraid he will not pass this class, I told him he can drop it and get the money back, but he wants to keep going.
Howdy Y’all! We have supped and the kitchen is all cleanded. I post this so no one will worry that I am goin’ hongry and have a filthy kitchen.
MetalMouse the plumber came to flush the drains, not to fix anything. Although, if the kitchen drains are not flushed after the grease trap is cleaned out, it could cause water to back up and flood the floor, so maybe he did fix sump’n. A thought to ponder whenever you feel the need for a ponder but don’t have a ready thought.
Had mine with sauteed peppers today. Side of frites.
metal mouse, I had [del]escaped from[/del] not lived in Indiana for twenty years when I got a tax bill from the state. After a WTF, I contacted the state. Come to find out, it was that $49 dollar ding on my credit report that I couldn’t trace all of that time. I weighed how much effort I wanted to put into it and sent them a check. Fighting it would have cost me more in time and effort.
Good pics, spidey!
sari, I mostly cut paper, but have been known to cut vinyl for projects and even cut some applique pieces for a quilt once.
Last month, AT&T made mention that I would have to opt in to continue receiving a paper bill. I figured, why not pay online. I’m here to tell you that their payment setup isn’t very user friendly. I wound up talking to a CSR to walk me through it and got it done. All in all, it took 45 minutes. The other bill that I payed online was for Nelson’s microchip and it took roughly 2 minutes.
I’ll be playing a little more with the new equipment tonight before beginning another paying project tomorrow.
At&t’s website sucks, unless you are wanting to buy something, and I have told them so many times, in very strong language.
I signed up for auto pay so I don’t have to deal with them, just make sure the money is in the account.
Poor Ripple is so tired after day care, he went up to bed without me.
He doesn’t get worn out at the park anymore, too hot to play.
I am so sleepy, can’t wait for 11 and irk to be over.
I made ice cream again! Today it was peach ice cream. I pureed six peaches to add to the ice cream blend. No artificial color or flavoring, just peaches and quality ingredients. So it hardly looks different than plain vanilla, but if I do say so myself the peaches make it taste divine.
I have some strawberries and am considering making ice cream with them on Sunday. You all can come on over and have some!
Gold lamé Grampers!
Thanks! Also got sunrise sushi shots, aka first light flounder.
I know you’ve been talking about a new sofa, so I thought you went to The Dump.
I’m with you, Bumba, I think every Five Guys is substandard; greasy burgers, non-crisp fries. There’s one in walking distance & I haven’t been there in years.
Five hours & four states later, I’m finally home (though there was a long stop at the airport in between, everyone was working, none of us flew, but we did make ice cream popsicles disappear at the end.
)
Given most of the driving was in the afternoon & it was a high of 90°ish today I stopped at Building 18 (yes, that’s police speak) & got both a Big Gulp & a medium Slurpee; finished 'em both within minutes.
:o
Sorry, but ass-chewing story shall be tomorrer.
I highly recommend this. It’s one of my favorites!
We have about 5 weeks now until we move into our new house. We’re going through the final-final-final documents with the bank. My daughter is going back into the hospital for another week of treatments for her haid. I’ve just been a bit busy is what I’m saying.
Hugs and hellos to all.
Red, if it was $49 I might be amenable, but it’s $8,447.81, so I think I’ll put up a fight about it. Did some research and the company seems legit and let me send them an e-mail, so I did and we’ll see what develops. Billings were from 2007, so I don’t think they are in any hurry…
Sunny! Anytime you can drop by is a good day. You just deal with life first and stop in anytime.
Spidey, Bumba, you are obviously folks without a true appreciation of fine food.
Cupcakes, do you do Butter Pecan?
Did do a little shopping this evening while my house cooled down. For some reason the last two days the A/C shuts down somewhere between 2-4pm, but after I fiddle with the controls it goes right back to work. If it shuts off tomorrow I’ll call the company that services it yearly and have them come out and look.
Or in my case, whit-less. ![]()
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 77 Amurrkin out and clear (well, dark) with a predicted high of 91 and a fifty percent chance of rain/tstorms/apocalypse this afternoon. We shall see. Yestiddy’s predicted gloom and doom did not happen. I shall accomplish mowage this mornin’ cause I need to do so. However, as I mentioned previously, I do not need to leave da cave today, so I can deal with mowage. Sup shall be chikin’ ‘n rice, green beans and whatever else vegetative matter I decide upon. Oh, and I need to remember to call the pharmacy folks to refill prescriptions. Livin’ the life I am!
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, onward into the day. Rah.
Happy Thursday Y’all!
I hope this morning doesn’t foreshadow my day. We were late getting out of the house, then caught behind a long line of cars behind a slow-ish truck. Got Roxy to the sitter’s about 10 minutes later than usual - not a huge thing, but I hate being late at all.
With luck, I can finish with Josh’s drawing today and move back to Baby Engineer’s project. We’ll see how that goes. Happy Thursday!!
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work.
Morning all. Need to do some banking and shopping today, just shredded all the excess paperwork I was carrying around on vacation, which took me about 10 minutes to do (I don’t like leaving stuff that might ID me hanging around or in the trash–holdover from one to many Army security briefings).
Hit 96F yesterday, we have a 60% chance of rain today and 80% tonight, if it doesn’t show up I’ll have to water the lawn tomorrow.
BLURF I got behind a slow poking motorcycle doing 40 MPH all the way to irk so I was also late this morning.
Blurf
Going to start my attack on the dining room table today. After nearly 20 years, it’s in need of refinishing. Probably use a belt sander to get the old finish off of the top, followed by finer grits with a pad sander. Not sure what I’m going to use for a finish. Perhaps Osmo Polyx-Oil.
Happy Thorsday!
It’s a partly cloudy 79 degrees outside, supposed to get up to 86 and rain later today.
I am tired. Woke later than usual, got Ripple off to daycare. I have stuff to do and it’s easier without him around.
My son is sleeping this morning, unusual, because he usually stays up all night and goes to bed around 9 or 10 am.
I don’t know what time he wants to get up, but I’ll be needing his help with some of the outside stuff.
The house is a mess, I have boxes everywhere. The remaining furniture needs to be moved around a bit, now is a good time to roll up the rugs and clean under them.
Afternoon all!
Back from my trip to the ol’ Stomping grounds (bet ya didn’t notice I was gone). Was a bit of an epic trip on the way down; wound up stuck behind an accident completely stationary for 2 hours, stretching what should be a 2.5 hour drive into over 5 hours, so I wound up cancelling the trip I was going to make with a friend (was planning on picking her up then heading straight off). Met up with people (except the person who has a stoopit job and keeps cancelling, who cancelled again), bought ethnic foodstuffs that aren’t available out here, went to my old juggling club, plus several pubs, and generally fun was had by most.
Luckily the trip back was a lot faster. Just got back, via the shop, and wishing I didn’t have irk tomorrow, but I do. Hopefully the dontwannas will wear off overnight.
Glad you got back to the inside of your home Metalmouse. Hope the keys aren’t too much of a pain to replace; when I had my old car, I bought it nth hand, with only one key. It turned out that none of the normal key places did that key type, and in a city of over half a million, there was one place that could order one in, and they’d charge over 1/3 the value of the car for one
Anyway, I should finish unpacking and start considering food. Soon.
