Here - taste this in the MMP

I is all itchy. Went a few feet too far yesterday, right into mosquitotown. :frowning:
I’ve only ever been to that place one other time, in mid-March so I didn’t know it’s mosquitotown in the summer. I literally exploded 4 of 'em; when I smacked them on my arm or let there was blood!

To My Beloved, Rahne McCloud-Happy Anniversary!

Bad storms and dangerous flash flooding. And in the middle of it all I had to drive home on a loaner car. The pedal master cylinder was indeed leaking (I told them that much) but it looks like no damage was done to the clutch before I caught it. But the parts are not in stock. Seems as how they feel “not that many people use standards anymore”. :smack: Yeah – tell me about it.

Treated myself to our favorite dive diner for lunch; mushroom swiss burger and chili. You may not want to be my “truck buddy” unloading 53 foot trailers tonight. And tomorrow the OW is going to a media event at 0-God:30 in the AM. Not allowed to say more right now but will tomorrow I am sure.

Butters a slow moving what? I didn’t know they came in that configuration.

Let’s see. I was up until 2 am, then up again at 6 (dogs doncha know), but then back to bed until 9. That’s uhm… 7 hours I think? It was a little broken up, but I’m feeling rested-ish.

Happy Anniversary to you too!

Home.

There was rain in the forecast, and it was overcast when I got to work, so I left my car windows closed. The clouds moved, the sun came out, and my car was HOT HOT HOT!!!

Now that I’m home, the clouds are moving in. Of course.

There’s a dog in the office today. (Not me, though I am in the office today.) I don’t know what kind it is, but it’s a little white one that used to be fluffy, only he’s been shaved. He belongs to a coworker who is out for a couple of days, so another coworker is dog-sitting.

So ‘Wilson’ has been whining. I learned a long time ago that he’s a little beggar. The dog-sitter just caught onto his scam. See, whining means ‘I have to relieve myself. Please take me outside.’ And he gets a treat every time he ‘does his business’. So he’s asking to be ‘walked’ so that he can get a snack.

ruble, when I used to take my Toyota to the dealership for an oil change, it was always the same guy who did it because he was the only tech on duty who could drive a stick. :stuck_out_tongue: I twigged to that whenI always had to put my seat back when I got in the car and he was the only exceptionally short tech in the garage.

Johnny, the little beagle who was our houseguest last summer figured that one out really fast. My dog knows when we go outside, but she would go to the door, whine and I’d take her out, not really knowing her habits well enough to know she was faking.

Well, one of our cycle counters took out a rack in the warehouse today. He hit it hard enough that it bent the support rail (for everybody but ruble, this is a construction grade iron rail to support the grates where the pallets are stored). He got off the forklift, walked back to our area, told the supe, clocked out and quit. He was a temp that had been with us for about five months and, even though he wasn’t the fastest counter, he had potential.

In other news, it was 98F when I got off irk this afternoon. I’s melting.

Lots of rain here today. I at least finished up all the trimming in the front yard, so it is done.
My crepe myrtle isn’t looking so good.
I like it because it is pretty, but it is too tall. I kind of like the privacy it gives, you have to look through the branches to see me sitting on the porch, but I also like the sunlight coming in.
So if it dies, it dies. I’ll replace it with something that doesn’t get quite so tall.
I got the second bird nest down. I wanted to hose off the porch but that is when it started raining.
I’m not about to stand out in the pouring rain with a hose in my hand.

Now I want to paint the porch.
This is the problem with sprucing up, everything you spruce makes everything else look old, tired, and dirty, so you just keep on going and going and it never gets done.
And I am too old to do all this stuff myself and too poor to pay to have it done.

Worked, came home, walked Gordie. it was nasty enough outside, I took a nap after I walked him. I am attempting to take a day off tomorrow.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!

Happy Anniversary youse guys!

Sari - you can trim the crepe myrtle way, way back and it will come back with lots of blooms the next season. The best time to trim is in the fall, but they’re pretty hardy. It’s also a good way to get them to fill in when they get too leggy.

I’m out of spoons for now. I think I’ll just sit here under the vent and veg. When I have the energy, I might move on to sleeping.

Evening all. Rest of the shopping and banking completed and nappage accomplished, so all is right with the world. Finally listened to my saved messages and there are several I need to respond to…tomorrow.

Found my spare house key, will look to get copy(ies) made. Nut, I have one of those ‘push-button’ cars that you just need the key (in this case a big oblong thing) in the car before you start it. May stop by the dealership and see what an additional key would cost.

No rain today, still a good chance of it tonight and tomorrow, so we’ll see.

All y’all take care.

I was concerned because the bark is shedding, but I looked it up and found out that is supposed to happen.
I trimmed quite a bit though because a lot of the branches come into the porch, and over the sidewalk. I don’t want the poor mailman/lady having to duck under the branches.

Wanna screw with a parking attendant/valet? Show up in a three-on-the-tree.

Just saying.

The evil troll in me requires I do just that any time I’m working on one.)

You still have all your paired organs? You won’t miss that lung at all.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 76 Amurrkin out and dark (TWPTB say clear) with a predicted high of 92 and an eighty percent chance of rain/tstorms/apocalypse this afternoon/evenin’. For the past two days this has been the forecast but has not happened yet. :dubious: However, I must be out and about a fair amount of today so that should cause it to happen. I have a doc appointment this mornin’ and shall head over to the church house to deal with candles, bring in trash cans, and miscellaneous other stuff. Sup shall be majik intartoobz pizza.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, alas, alack, and bother of bothers, I must purtify and don appropriate bein’ out in public attire.

Happy Firday Y’all!

Up for my early tooth-check. Then I plan to run some errands. Who knows what excitement will ensue…

Happy Firday!

It’s a partly cloudy 70 degrees this morning, supposed to get up to 90 and be N.O.S today.

Going to be another busy day.
One chair should be delivered today.
Well, delivered to the store, then I have to go pick it up.
I see a lot of proofreading today too. Although I have been too tired to proof lately.
I think he does better without my help.

OK, I can say it now ------ we were invited to the grand opening of the Steel Curtain at Kennywood. I took a pass but the OW has been there since 5:50am. I will report on her report later. Not one of the “first riders” but --------- still in the line before the general public.
