Milroy, shut up. Please. I had good points and you are sabotaging them with this bullshit Clinton highjack. And it is a Clinton highjack. You say you don’t blame him, but you keep saying AFP is 8/10 Clinton. Drop it. Shut up. It would help me immensely.
Next time please be a little more clear, it looked like another of your Clinton snipes (examples.) In fact, it looks so much like them i can’t tell the difference. Go figure! There was a Republican controlled Congress for most of the time too, but nobody is bringing that up…
I was unaware that Clinton had magical powers that bypassed the checks and balances from the other two branches. You might want to read this if the concept of other branches of the government doing things confuses you.
In a last ditch effort to save this runaway train I want to say that I’m a left leaning moderate and I still think Mr. Iyer is an asshole. His points were flawed and his timing could not have been worse. He told us to be humble because we were victims of 9-11 and he said that if we changed our ways we could prevent another attack. He wants to appease the terrorists. He’s an ass with no concept of history.
Well, Giraffe, we’re in reasonable agreement on the hazards of attacking Iraq and on the Bush Administration’s poor effort in rallying international support for it.
But none of that, I think, justifies conjuring up hobgoblins in the international press regarding the Administration’s motives. If you don’t think there are sufficient facts on record, say so - don’t make things up to fill the vacuum.
Splort! Thanks for laugh, Tars! No really, that was truly funny. Your “cite” regarding the different branches of government In Re foreign policy is a link to an opinion piece by Joe Biden? Joe Biden?
BTW, isn’t this the sort of thing y’all jump all over December for, citing opinions as facts?
