My analog flip phone from 1998 could do it. Doesn’t make me feel important. Just makes me think you’re wrong and are maybe too proud or too embarassed to admit it.
As Gorillaman pointed out, I was referring to sending a call to voice mail rather than answering it, which was the OP’s first feature request.

I think I could use a button to transfer an incoming sales call to a help line in India. Then it’s a war of wills, one trying to control the conversation and the other trying to transfer it to a different department.
1. Block SMS messages from exes - I’m already not answering your calls… stop texting me. Forever.
2. Bounce SMS messages from social dregs and other undesirables - Could I spot you a twenty? Message not received.
