Maple syrup?
Carbonated apple jelly might be fun. Carbonated clam chowder: chunky AND fizzy!
Just inhale the fumes and you can run like Jay Garrick.
Put a haggis in the blender, water it down with clamato. . .

The millennial chefs have beat you to this. They call it “foam” and there is nothing they haven’t done it to*. Hopefully the fad is nearly over.
*Cite: Beet foam
[/QUOTE]This has little to do with carbonation though. Your first link just involves whipping with an immersion blender. The second one is 22 minutes long, so I didn’t bother watching it all, but when you “whip” cream using gas you don’t use CO2 because of the aforementioned tanginess that regular whipped cream isn’t supposed to have.
I was half watching Chopped last night and saw a can of Korean soda milk. And here it is: Milkis https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milkis, soda milk!
Here’s a review of it:
“Milkis is the lightly carbonated version of a standard yogurt drink. If you’ve never had any Korean soft drinks, I’d start with this one—it’s got the same bubbliness of Western soda along with the sweetness levels, but it’s got that twist with the light, tangy dairy flavor that makes it a great gateway drink. It pairs well with fruit; I’m partial to the melon and peach varieties.”

I recently bought a bottle of Torani orange syrup and as I’m working through it, I’m still undecided whether I like it or not. I’m weirded out by the fact that it tastes like a carbonated Creamsicle! The aftertaste is oddly creamy, which weirds me out even more. What in the world do they put in this to get that taste???
As for carbonated milk, thinking about it, it’s not really that strange. The classic egg cream is carbonated water, milk and chocolate syrup. And of course there are floats, where the best part is getting that spoonful of ice cream mixed with the soda!
Obligatory Haggis Poem.
This opens other possibilities, carbonated blender cheeseburger…
I would think carbonated milk would make for a great egg cream.
And the thought of a vampire slurping on a bottle of carbonated blood makes me positively giddy.
On a semi-serious note, has anyone tried carbonating cold brew coffee?
ETA: Yes, they have. No, it’s not good.
By “carbonated milk”, I assume people mean Kumis? Available in your local Mongolian (or various other Asian) supermarket. I know many people make it at home, but not in a Sodastream…
That reminds me, I’d like to try carbonating rose lasi. For those who have not experienced the deliciousness, lasi is a thin yogurt beverage found in most Indian grocery stores. Rose lasi is sweet and tart and bitter and ties with chocolate milk as my favorite non alcoholic beverage.
Carbonation would probably be bad for it, but I want to know for sure!
I avoid carbonated drinks because they give me gas.
How do you consume all these confections without constant embarrassment?
The first thing I would be interested to try is carbonating an already carbonated drink.
Foam. Much foam.
Celtic,I’m not sure I’d be able to try most of these without a run to the bathroom. Carbonated clam chowder? <shudder>
I’m quite disappointed in my sodastream. It doesn’t produce a beverage that I consider a soda. It’s just a beverage with a few bubbles in it. When I drink a soda, I expect it will put enough gas in me to make me want to belch. That’s in fact one of the main reasons I drink soda, for the relief provided by belching.
Make sure your bottle has enough pressure. And I always run the carbonation until it burps, thrice.
A coffee shop in my town used to have a specialty drink called a “coffee soda”. It was seltzer mixed with espresso to make a sparkling americano.
How do I ensure it has enough pressure?
So I should keep pumping past the three lights?
OK, sounds like you have a different model than I do. Mine has no lights, just a button to push to release the compressed CO2. If the pressure is adequate, after a couple of seconds the machine will burp. I just repeat the process an extra couple of times.
I have the Source — https://sodamakerclub.com/sodastream-source/ — it has three sets of lights showing you the fizz level
I’m pretty sure it would just clot into brownies.
