Put it this way, AbloyProtec: Are you rich? If not, why not?
She’s working on it…
Clearly not. If she was, she’d make $100 easy off my by betting on Cain.
All talk, no walk. All hat, not cattle. All sauce, no dough.

I’m a dude…
As for being rich. I’m 24, I make $65,000 a year with expenses just over $18,000. The rest I rat hole away. I can’t remember the thread but I’ve detailed my frugality on this forum, such as washing my clothes manually which apparently no one could believe. If you consider that rich, then yes.
If not, that’s fine too. I’m not satisfied with that money either, I’d like to earn more and I’m doing my best to upgrade my situation (primarily through experience and education). But cut me some slack, I entered the work force in the midst of the worst economic situation since the Great Depression.
The REpublicans were begging him to run. I wonder how good the offers got. He knows his best shot is 2016. This election would be tough . He would not win. But they were begging him.
All Christie had to do was say yes.
You mean the Koch Brothers?
See, this is the thing. We’re willing to cut you some slack for that (that’s pretty impressive, in fact). But Cain isn’t. According to him, the reason you’re not rich has nothing to do with the recession; it’s just because you’re not trying hard enough.
Having talked to the man first hand and basically relaying just as much as I did to you, that’s not the case.
You know, this is the same guy that considered $20,000 as rich in the late 60’s and early 70’s and his vision of the American dream.
The entire Repub establishment including the Fox network talking heads and the internet gurus. I am sure the Kochsuckers were involved.
In the future, keep epithets like this in the Pit. I don’t want to see them in this forum and I don’t think other mods want to see them in forums that are reserved for polite-ish conversation.
Shit just got real.
Well, if he gets nominated, will he shave that soup strainer on his upper lip? We haven’t elected a president with facial hair in over 100 years. (William Howard Taft, 1908)
You know who else had facial hair?
William Howard Taft. It’s right that last post, ferchrissakes
On this date in 2007, Rudy Giuliani lead Fred Thompson by 8 points, who in turn lead McCain by 8 points.
I forget, how’d that turn out for Giuliani? Or Thompson?
I hope so.
The reason you don’t see facial hair anymore is because everyone since Taft has realized that you couldn’t achieve the amount of awesomeness that 'stache projected.
I’m sorry, are you actually equating the former New York City mayor AND Tennessee Senator to little ol’ Herman Cain?
This is getting better and better by the day.
Now, all Cain has to do to follow Guiliani’s failure is forget campaigning in Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina and put all his chips in Florida, as well as hire a campaign manager who will indicted on multiple counts of tax fraud. Fingers crossed.
OR
He can follow Thompson’s approach and basically just show up to the debates and answer when called on.
Not at all. I’m just saying a poll taken thirteen months before the election has a very low confidence level for predicting who will be nominated.
A nothing and a lesser nothing is ‘getting better every day’?
OMG, Trump is gunna git it! He was blowing everyone away for, like, a week!
-Joe
Well, it IS the GOP.
Herman Cain has three years of radio shows that are going to be examined very closely by his adversaries, Democrat and Republican. I don’t doubt there will provocative embers that will fanned to flames, and Cain will return from whence he came.
