I have an aunt who went to Woodstock and reported that people were boiling something–she wasn’t sure what–in wine before injecting it.
Are you sure she’s remembering correctly. I would imagine injecting any significant amount of wine would probably kill you in very short order just from all that crap that’s in wine. Alcohol will probably be fine, but the rest of it. Any doctors out there know for sure?
