Note the quotation marks, indicating that I’m using the term ironically. The “good Christians” have nothng to do with Christ. I doubt he’d be welcome at their churches.

Right. But the wacko-fringe of the evangelical-right (yes, there are non-wacko evangelicals…) put Allah and Satan in the same bucket. Remember, these are the people who are gung-ho about supporting Israel solely for the purpose of rebuilding it into a kingdom. The faster that happens, the sooner the Anti-christ can rule it for seven years, and then Jesus comes back and puts the Holy Smackdown on all those heathens.
Uh… they do.
See, statements like that on a fundie Web forum will only elicit hate-filled screeds like, “NO, they aren’t! The Muzzies worship an Arab moon god, but we worship Jesus!” and then you’ll get banned for “blasphemy.”

Check. We had a long and detailed argument on this on Christian Forums (which has more breadth than the crazy-fundie forums), with some evangelicals getting into details about Allah the moon god and others (including me) pointing out that the Antiochan Orthodox have been referring to God the Holy Trinity by His title in Arabic since about 650 AD.
IRL conversations, I sometimes get to mention that Christians, Jews, and Muslims all worship the God of Abraham.
And then the fun starts.

Yeah, but most of these groups would say that the Antioch and such aren’t REAL Christians. (They’d lump them in with the Catholics/Eastern Orthodox)
