Hey, DAVEW00071, ever come across one of these?

Yikes! I would have thought ONE species of potato bug was enough.

Seriously, do you ever get called out for Jerusalem cricket extermination? Those suckers are scary! Mr. Pug and I recently heard a faint scratching noise in our bedroom at night, and thinking it was a mouse, we turned on the light to hunt for it. Uh-uh: it was a gigantic potato bug scratching its way along the baseboard. I can easily envision bug-phobic people calling you to make it go away. We scooped it into a paper cup and put it in the front yard.

AAAUUUGGGHHH!!! Oh, the horror!

Thank the Lord, no, I’ve never been called upon to do battle with one of those monstrosities. Three inches long! That’s bigger than some show dogs.

Here in the northeast, we don’t have a lot of extremely big and weird bugs. I noticed the dateline was southern Cal, which makes sense. The more tropical climes promote big nasties.

I’m always taken aback when I look at the target pest list for some of the products I use. “Trogloderma”?! Scorpions??!!
