I’ve had these for a while. They work great!
I go to the “Aways 99 cents” store and buy a large bottle of grape juice. Then, after one of the 2 liter soda bottles in our fridge is empty, I pour the juice in the bottle, plus 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 2 capfulls of yeast. In 5 days I have 1/2 gallon of 34proof wine for a total cost of $1.10. Try this! It works great!
And it’s delicious!
I might have a look into this. I’m a beer brewer, and I’m sure I’ll stick to the traditional methods, but this might be good for some wine cooler style drinks for my SO, especially with summer coming on here.
They are just down the road from where I work too (never heard of these people though). I can imagine the guy in my brewing supplies shop rolling his eyes (he’s the brewing equivalent of the Simpsons’ comic book store guy).
the tops sound kinda cool. guess it allows carbonation without blowing up your bottles. Of course, there’s probably a fair amount of sediment in the bottom of the bottle
Seriously, when you say it tastes delicious, can you give some sort of comparison. “Delicious, just like Andre’s cold duck!” or “like Cliquot.”
