Highly Suspect The Band

Anyone else digging these guys? Rock is NOT dead! It’s difficult to describe why I like them so much, but it’s probably because they’re just so fucking genuine, and it’s always cool to see a three member band where the bass and drum players are twins. Their music and their videos are ridiculously good.

Sidebar: the lead singer Johnny Stevens is also the chief songwriter and lead guitar player. Dude is RIDICULOUSLY good.

They sound pretty good. They remind me of Linkin Park, Soundgarden, and a few other bands. I’m still rocking, rock definitely isn’t dead, it’s just harder to find. Some new rock I like:

Greta Van Fleet

Ghost

Five Finger Death Punch

Halestorm

I really like these guys, although I like Mister Asylum much better than The Boy Who Died Wolf. I’ll have to check out their new album.

My sister pointed them out to me, so I tracked down the Lydia video. I found that video so disturbing that I didn’t listen to them again for months. Then, they started getting radio play so I gave them another listen and loved them. I still have a hard time watching that video – she’s really holding her breath the whole time!

On a related note, if you like these guys and Five Finger Death Punch, etc., you should listen to Houston’s Hard Rock station. “Hey Google, play Houston’s Hard Rock HD2” or however you get music going on whatever devices you have. As far as I can tell, it’s the only hard rock station left. They don’t play that much new stuff, because there’s not that much new stuff getting done as far as I can tell.

control-z, add Royal Blood to your list. FoisGrasIsEvil – you’d love them – the bass player and guitar player are the same person!

Anyway, to the OP, I really like every single song on the Mister Asylum album. I’ve listened to it repeatedly, like I used to do with whole albums “back in the day”.
