Hillary v. Condi?

The guy is Dick Morris, by the way.

You mentioned a book? I must have missed that. Odd.

Anyway, here is a very telling quote from one of the reviewers.

Some weird, wild stuff out there. After all this time, I don’t understand the Hillary-Haters, and I find it funny to see them not agreeing with each others rantings.

Yeah, which should tell the pol-watchers all they need to know.

Morris is a political consultant who was tight with the Clintons until he had a little scandal involving…um…‘affection for hire’, if you get me.

Since that time he’s crossed the aisle and has been supporting himself with speeches and such that basically boil down to telling the right 'I worked for the Clintons! They’re EEEEVILLL!!! Five cents please."

He’s a dick.

Condi was on Meet the Press yesterday, and Russert brought up the fact that some groups are running ads in key states urging her to run. He repeatedly asked her if she was going to run, but she did a little dance saying that “wasn’t what she wanted to do with her life” but refused to outright say no.

Not quite sure what to make of it.

Well, if she had said “no,” the pundits would take that to mean “maybe.” She is too tight with Dubya, and there is no way to distance herself and keep the GOP core vote. Nope…a Condi run is pretty much a no-go.

“…long, national nightmare of a Hillary Clinton Presidency.” This, on the other hand, I agree with.

I didn’t say Powell would win, just that he has better chances at pulling away some of the “black vote” than Condi does IMO.

Agreed.

Because Bush is not stupid - as the Democrats would have us believe.

That answers half of my post. And it’s not that much of an answer, just an assumption.

Actually the least flattering thing about him that I have heard was written by Al Franken:

He is his mother’s son.

Condi will not run. She simply hasn’t been getting out there and getting publicity the way that a presidential candidate would be. Nevertheless as a runner she could be quite strong. While none of her speeches that I’ve seen have impressed me, she apparently has had some qualified success making allies in foreign countries during the last year. If that’s true, she must have some personality factors on her side. On the other hand, there’s no reason for Robertson , Falwell and Dobson to side with her in the primary when they’ve gotten so many goodies from Bill Frist already. Thus Condi couldn’t win. And of course it won’t matter since Condi won’t be running.

Hillary, as well all know, won’t be running in 2008. I would still give the Democratic field to Richardson at this time, barring my increasingly unlikely dream of Guiliani jumping ship to the Democrats.

I’m gonna go along with the first statement as a whoosh… but as a New Yorker, I can say I can’t imagine Giuliani running as a Democrat. Not when he spent most of 2004 campaigning for Bush and trying to make an impression on voters in the Bible Belt.

I get really tired of so-called liberal Northern Democrats stereotyping Republicans and Southerners as some sort of racist troglodytes.

There are plenty of Republicans who are more concerned about a candidate’s character and positions on issues than their genitalia or melanin content. I’ve voted for black and female Republicans. No, there is no way in hell that I would vote for Hillary Clinton or Al Sharpton, but it isn’t because of race or gender.

I like Condi Rice. I wish we had more like her in the government.

Are you from a rural area?

I am. And I’ve seen more examples of “the racist republican who pretends not to be by saying they don’t care about race” than I have of “the tolerant republican who doesn’t care about race”.
