Hitler and the Tibetan Monks

Zombies wearing swastikas!

They’re not zombies, they’re merely reincarnated. Wearing swastikas.

Tibetan Buddhist swastika’s are in the clockwise direction. Tibetan pre-Buddhist Bon or Bonpo religion has the swastika’s in the counter-clockwise direction. While Buddhist is the dominant belief in Tibet, there are still Bon followers and monastaries today.

Lama Anagarika Govinda covers the difference between Bon and Buddhist history and traditions pretty well in his seminal Way of the White Clouds book.

I’ve seen swastikas in cloth woven by the Miao nationality (also known as the Hmong in Cambodia) in Guizhou province. The Miao were generally animists and not Buddhists.

Swastika’s are not that complex of a design and that different cultures on different continents came up with this independantly is not much of a logical stretch.

Swastikas on the Hindu temples of Bali are upright and turned the same was as the Nazis painted on their aircraft.

I was thinking Paulwels & Bergiers’ MORNING OF THE MAGICIANS, which this above-referenced article also attributes the story to.

I know I saw the story repeated in a late 1970’s issue of either HIGH TIMES or a similar mag on Nazi Occultism, and I’m pretty sure that Shea & Wilson use it in The ILLUMINATUS Trilogy.

Btw, it’s not just silly Nazis who had some occultic Eastern leanings. Google up Vice-President Henry Wallace & Nicholas Roerich.
