Wrong thread. This one’s about grown adults getting their undies in a bunch about the movie & tv show tournament threads.
There were six threads on the first page, one started each day, basically on the same topic – “vote for your favorite whatever.” That was too much. We have the same reaction when any topic starts to “take over,” or when the same person starts three threads on the same topic.
The mods are discussing amongst ourselves. On the one hand, the description of IMHO says clearly that’s the place for polls, and very clearly “Vote for your favorite” is a poll, not a discussion. On t’other hand, Cafe Society is the place for discussion of arts and entertainment. So, we’re not entirely sure where a poll about movies should go. We’ll resolve that one.
But regardless of forum, you open one thread on one topic. Opening a new thread each day on the same topic is … overdoing it.
