Neil Strauss said he met Corey Feldman at an orgy where guys were sharing their wives and girlfriends once. So yeah, sadly that may be true. Maybe he is trying to get some blackmail money out of this. That is sad. Why can’t anyone come forward about sexual abuse in hollywood? Are threats of being sued for libel that possible?
Seems the threat “you’ll never work in this town again” still has weight in Hollywood. It may no longer be wielded by a tiny cartel of studio heads but there is still a bit of that sort of culture at work only more distributed among the many networks of owed favors and mutual “I won’t tell if you don’t tell” detentes.

The whole “might get sued for libel” thing never made any sense to me. So you get sued - there are a thousand high-powered lawyers in Hollywood who would take your case in a heartbeat. Pro bono. Then you add in the threat of months of very public litigation, with **every single person **who knew of the abuse and didn’t say anything called as a hostile witness. Endless bad publicity for everybody except the victim. Hell, they’d pay millions just to shut him up, forget the abuser and his suit. It would never get past the first deposition. The suit would be dropped or the abuser would be dead, figuratively if not literally.
Hope it’s nobody I like.

Haim was born in late December of '71, so he was 11 in early December of '83, which is when he presumably would’ve been on the set of that movie – a movie which featured Peter Weller, as well as a guy who’s now the A-Listiest of A-List stars, a husband and father who hasn’t yet been mentioned in this thread: Robert Downey Jr.

As has been stated several times Feldman said he and Haim were both molested by multiple people. One of which has been strongly implied to be Sheen on the set of Lucas. Another is a family man with a family friendly image. One of the articles post above contains an interview with Feldman that gives some details.
Elijah Wood basically said that he heard of such things but he has really good parents who made sure he was protected. Just like what Feldman said about Haim, it’s hearsay. Feldman has stated that Haim had it much worse but really he has no proof other than he was told by someone now dead. He would get crushed in lawsuit.
Yeah, I’ve seen his name mentioned, but I don’t know: did Downey Jr. have much Hollywood power until recently?
