Holy Crap! I might have just bought a house

I’ve been house hunting. I’ve been seeing a lot of crap houses in my price range. The houses were either small, on a dinky lot or trashed by previous owners/renters.

Yesterday I went and saw this house.

It is 2144 sq feet on a 7400 sq foot lot and was built last year. It is in a good area and is in really good condition as there was some rehab work done by Fannie Mae. There are some small problems but they are all in the couple hundred $$ range to fix (pending inspection of course, there may be larger problems but I doubt it)

It has 3 bedrooms with an office room, two car garage (uesd to be three car garage, one bay is double long but they cut the double bay in half and turned it into a room)

Holy Crap. Just got a phone call.

I put in an offer last night on the house. I just heard back and they did a counter offer. I accepted.

I think I just bought a house. I’ll have to go sign some papers hear shortly.

Woooo HOOOO!

Gotta run. *

*I’ll update the thread later…

Cool looking house. Is Pee Wee Herman’s bicycle in the basement?

Congradulations! Having just bought one in June myself I know the feeling!

Wow - and wow! Congrats slee!

Is K still in the picture? I don’t want to ask love-nesty questions out of date…

No but Pee Wee is chained in the backyard (ala The Gimp from Pulp Fiction).

*Waiting on realtor so I can go sign some stuff…

back out now!

Buy my house instead!

D’OH!

I totally missed your post.

K and I are still living together. We’ll be moving in to the new place.

Yay!

Congrats and good luck! It looks like a very nice place from the outside. I hope the inspection doesn’t turn up anything bad.

Well that depends on the quality of children’s television show host you have gimped out in your yard. Better than Pee Wee?

Nice shack!
Congrats.
Uh, the front lawn looks like it could use a bit of water.

What? Captain Kangaroo not good enough for you?

So here is the latest.

I am meeting the realtor in about two hours to sign the papers. It is a done deal unless the inspection turns up something truely bad.

Woo Hoo (with a twinge of Holy Crap! I am spending hundreds of thousands of dollars!)!

I’m envious. The roof is tiled! We never see that here. It doesn’t look like you’ll need a snowblower either.

Congrats slee! Just think, whenever sump’n needs fixin’… no more callin’ the landlord cause the landlord’s you!
