Truth Seeker, I think most of the French people just don’t want a war. I believe most people don’t know too much, I chose to know more because I live in the States and was concerned with all this. But I am pretty sure that I wouldn’t know the ties France has with Iraq if I was still there (I am not very interested in politics).
I believe most French people don’t want a war as they are worried about he “human” factors and don’t want innocent killed (like any others not in favor). I don’t think they see a threat as the US do…

Quite right. I just thought that since you provided the French version there was some sort of nuance or connotation that the translation got wrong or something.
