Beats the heck out of a McMansion, I think.

IIRC, there was a woman who did something similar and set hers up in a trailer park in Florida. She’d shaved the wings off, so it didn’t look like it could fly anymore, but it’s still a pretty nifty idea.

I’ve seen a similar thing, except that the plane was on top of a pedestal and would rotate depending on the direction of the wind. There was a circular staircase you climbed in the pedestal part that took you into the plane. The cockpit still looked original. The rest of the plane had been remodeled into rooms, but they incorporated the windows and such of the plane into the design of each room. Was pretty neat looking. I recall something like a $150k price tag on the thing. Not sure if the wings were still attached or not but I think they were. I also don’t recall if it was also a 727 or some other model.
