So I figured this would be the place to post this. My friend really want to just make some sort of movie while we’re at school. Between us we both have digital camcorders, plenty of editing software, and all the necessities to do some decent editing. The only problem we’re having is what to film! We don’t really have a genre that we’d like to do exactly but probably some sort of wacky documentary, something like Trigger Happy TV, Candid Camera, etc. But we’re not limiting ourselves to just those. Something serious or even basically anything would be fun. Anyone care to share their home made video experience. It could be something done in college like this or just a random movie you felt like making. I’m really just looking for a base idea to work from. It wouldnt be too much fun to remake something. Any stories and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
One of our college plans that never got off the ground was…
“Blood: The Movie”
A series of short vinettes at the end of each a spray of blood would come from off screen.
One scene, a big kid pushing a little kid on the swing.
“Push me harder! Push me harder”
Pushing kid get frustrated and pushes hard. Kid on swing goes out of camera shot, other kid gets horrified look on his face with sounds of chains wrapping around metal pole. Then spray of blood!
I don’t really have much to say about that…the scene just keeps playing in my head!
A music video is always easy to do, IMO. I did a short one based on my wife going shopping for one day, just for giggles.

Did you ever see the thing on Leno where he goes to a college and asks students what there special talent is? The kids do some pretty funny stuff.
The best one: This girl says she can stick 3 bananas in her mouth at once. So we watch and she takes 3 bananas, opens her mouth, and sticks all 3 in. The next scene is three guys. The one guys says, we have an challenge for the girl that just stuck 3 bananas in her mouth.
