what is a good anesthetic found in average home .Ihave a painful splinter in my thumb if it was numb i could remove the splinter easily but its very painful its not infected i tried ice cube to remove the pain cold wore off and it hurt some more:(
I used to work in a scene shop where metal and wood splinters were a daily occurrence. The things that I found most useful in order of relevance were:
A)sucking it up and pulling it out
B)soaking the offending digit in warm water to loosen the skin and then sucking it up and pulling it out
C)finding a friend to slice the skin until it was removable.
He’s looking for a painkiller, dude.
The list begins and ends with alcohol.

And I don’t think Covered means to apply it topically either.
Just sayin’.

Solarcaine, or any similar other-brand products, if you happen to have any on hand.
Was also going to recommend alcohol.
You could also try soaking your thumb in water till it gets prune like.
Good luck
I have heard of, but haven’t tried, these techniques, so I don’t know if they’ll work in your situation:

Best of luck!
The best painkiller I ever found was just getting it out.
thank you for earth clinic website very helpful
Cocaine makes an excellent local anesthetic. Obtaining some legally is left as an exercise for the splinter-sufferer.
