Homeless immigrant with no money to her name spends $50 on pizzas, what?

And you believe she walked thousands of miles with her children because…?

Did you not read the article?

A little more detail:

On a TV show there was a poor woman (don’t think she was homeless) who would take here kids to McDonalds as special treat and buy them burgers (none for herself) so they could enjoy the cleanliness and comfort as a way to remember the life they had.

Also on Youtube, there’s a guy who grew up poor as child in China whose parents would take him to KFC and sit and watch him eat alone with a smile on their faces.

Sometimes the littlest things, especially food, show incredible love.

Is this some sort of trick question?

Maybe she’s just a really big fan of the Proclaimers?

so in your opinion the panhandlers in my area should get their stories written up in an article?

How does that follow?

Besides the fact that this question makes even less sense than your previous one, why shouldn’t they get their stories written up in an article?

If the article is fact checked that would be great.

WTF does that have to do with anything?

If you don’t want to read the article, don’t. But then don’t presume to comment on her situation if you don’t bother to learn about it.

I don’t believe she walked a thousand miles with her children.

…she’s a fucking drug dealer with big thighs! Do I win?

If you have that little belief in the article, then you should not believe that she ever received any money, nor spent it in ways that you judge to be poor. Maybe she doesn’t even exist, and all this outrage that you feel is simply manufactured.

You gonna argue with Fitbit?

The main point of the article was her situation at the border which could be observed. The assumption is that she is poor.

Pointing out the poor decisions she made is not outrage. That would be an emotion you’ve created in your mind.

Who observed her get this money? Who observed her take a cab to dominos? Who observed her order food there and share it with her family? That was as much self reporting as the parts of her story that you refuse to believe.

Umm, read the OP.

best of luck with that line of thought.

where’s the outrage? We can’t have an opinion on someone foolishly spending money?

You are the only one who is having issues with only believing what you want to believe. I am not like to convince you, and there is probably no one else on the planet that needs convincing on this “line of thought”, so, thank you for the well wishes.

An opinion, sure. But, when you share that opinion on a public forum, you are doing so in the desire that others join in on that opinion, why would you do that if it didn’t really bother you? A number of times in the OP’s “sharing of their opinion”, they used the punctuation construction “!?”.

And, even your construction, “foolishly spending money” indicates that you do not just think that it was a less optimal way of spending, but was a, well, foolish way. You are not looking to “share your opinion”, you are looking to get others to join in on bullying her because she didn’t do exactly what you wanted her to do.

You obviously want people to know that it bothers you that this person that you never met, and has never caused you any harm, has done something that you object to. Other than recreational outrage, what purpose do your comments here serve?
