I also believe that he’s the one who raised an international stink when Los Alamos sold “Fat Man and Little Boy” earrings. (Not that this is in the same catagory as the above, but…)
I won’t be able to look at him the same way again after this. I hadn’t realized that Anti-Semitism was alive and well in Japan, and that it was prevalent enough that he can be that open with it (“merchants of death”?). I’m kind of disappointed to find out it has.
Look at it this way: He spends so much time judging the damn food that there’s no way he does any real legislating. Maybe “Iron Chef food critic” is the Japanese position for embarassing elected officials.
He obviously doesn’t pay attention to Wall Street, does he? Yesterday’s stock market activity was a great example of how idiotic the above statement is.
