Well, at least 2.5" got us talking about this subject. For years, nobody on the SDMB has ever talked about homophobia. It’s been the taboo subject, the third rail, the one subject that was never even hinted at. I’d say it took a lot of guts to finally bring it into the light.

Reading this, one might think that his brain might, at some time, fully engage. There is no evidence that, assuming 2.5" has a normal-sized human brain, this has ever been the case. Now, if 2.5 measures not only size, but functional brain cells, then it might have, at some point, fully engaged, but I’m not slogging through his posts to find out when.

On the surface, 2.5 actually has a point. However, as I alluded to, even though the very thread that inspired this rant touched on current levels of acceptance, I felt it was not up to me decide for the many clearly open-minded members here at the Dope was acceptable to other who might see what they’ve clicked on and who have power over that.
Would that (and that’s a big would, bigger than 2.5 inches) our OP had read carefully everything connected with that warning and thought it through, he might have recorgnized that.
Or, given the history, perhaps not.
