I decided to update our Honda Odyssey navigation system. Put in the new disc, it loaded up the new software, but when I actually try to go somewhere it runs into errors. I bought this online, so it will take awhile to get a new one. In the meantime, I use this thing daily. My old disc is ver. 4.55. is there any way I can revert back in the meantime?
I have a 2010 Honda Fit, so assuming I have the same navigation system, couldn’t you just put the old disc back? You still need to wait for the update process, but basically all of the maps are on the disc.
Also, did your update mention the need to calibrate it by driving on a “verified road”?
When I put my old disc back in it said something to the effect of: The disc is older than the current system. Please check the dvd. And it would not go on to the Nav. system. That is why I figured I would need to somehow revert back.
Also, I was astounded by the set-up. A tiny portable gps is 1/4 the size of just the dvd reader which was under the drivers seat. After sticking the disc in the dvd and cd players, I finally went online to discover that there is a third disc reader under the drivers seat. With the old dvd inside.
