Horribly predictable films...

On a whim tonight, I rented the Hellboy sequel “The Golden Army”, and within the first 5 to 10 minutes or so, had already predicted the ending…

As soon as Ii saw Arwye…err…that Elf Princess Lady get a bloody nose at the same time, her brother, Legol…err…Evil Elf Prince With Delusions Of Grandeur, i said to myself "I’ll bet she’ll end up stabbing herself to stop Dear Brother…

I was right, also;

I had a feeling that Hellboy would get all pissed off at the end of the movie and quit the BPRD, just to spite whassisname, the head “suit” of BPRD

Right again.

I don’t know, Golden Army didn’t seem as good as the first HB movie, there were many places I was actually bored, the whole thing seemed vaguely rushed and forced, and could HellKid look any more fake, plasticky and CGI-ey?

The M. Night movie “The Village” I figured out the “twist” 5 minutes in and had to fight to stay awake during the whole thing…

What movies have you found horribly predictable?

Aye, must agree on Hellboy. It was clearly way too long to wait from the first one (long-delayed sequels are not so good), and in any case del Toro just sorta tossed out characterization, logic, and good plot in several cases and concentrated on his astounding visuals.

I would probably be thinking of Forbidden Kingdom, last years’ jackie Chan/Jet Li martial arts fest. I won’t say it’s a great movie, and it wasn’t a bad movie, but it was definitely predictable. I don’t think there was anything which terribly surprised me, and the couple of minor suprises they tossed in were heavily foreshadowed in one way or another.

I just knew the Titanic was gonna sink …

I saw The Bone Collector, which I quite enjoyed, but even knowing little about it I worked out who-dunnit and how the story would unfold during the credits. I turned to my wife to tell her and she said, “keep it to yourself.”

Snakes on a Plane. It’s Snakes! On A Plane!
