Hot Gun Barrels Burn People

I concur. :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh, it happened. D’Este’s biography on Patton is extremely well researched and documented, and IMHO the best bio on Patton that’s been written. The desription of the event can be found on pg 160 here. Just search on the word trouser, it’s the first hit.

Actually, wouldn’t it have been a miss?

I’d expect the muzzle blast of a contact shot, especially for the larger calibers, can inflict enough soft tissue damage to make sure both fellas have a bad day.

American, eh! I would have assumed that was a Japanese gun.

Amusing, instructive article:

5 Ridiculous Gun Myths Everyone Believes (Thanks to Movies)

I have heard that some kinds of elite training include having the trainee hold the barrel of a gun fired by someone else, to help dispel the conception that you can not touch the opponent’s gun in a close-quarters firefight. The way they tell it, most people are reluctant to touch the opponent’s gun, and will try to struggle with the wrists and arm of the opponent to point the gun in a different direction, but of course you could get a lot more leverage by just grabbing the barrel and moving it aside.

Ruger developed it from examining a Japanese pistol.

Without a doubt!

I would say that if you stick an MP5 in your pants, you should be exempt from carrying a holster.
