Hotel coffeemaker question

We took our French press and an electric kettle to Key West with us. Ivylad loves his whole bean/freshly ground/French-pressed coffee.

I was going to suggest packing an electric kettle. Here is one, says it boils the water, so it should be perfect:

What really irks me is when the put the coffee makers in the room, a few packets of coffee, and then charge you if you use the coffee.

They do this with bottles of water placed around the room, candy in the draws, etc.

As a diabetic, I requested a room with a fridge, so I could buy veggies and fruits to eat. The fridge was full of candy and sodas with a note explaining that if you take one, you’d be charged for it. I called a manager and had him empty out the fridge. The next day, someone removed the fruit and veggies I had bought from the fridge and filled it back up with candy.

I think the funniest thing I saw in the fridge was an “intimacy pack” which consisted of a small bottle of champaign, two plastic wine cups, and a condom.
