I own a house (okay, the bank owns it…) and rent an apartment.
I own most of a house and some land. Someday I’ll own either a condo and an RV or lots more land somewhere cooler with a hand-built cabin on it.

Own a two-bedroom townhouse. Already did the homeowner w/yard thing for 30 years and have no desire to do it again ever. I hate yard work.
Own a townhouse. The best of both worlds. No upstairs/downstairs neighbors, but no yardwork or outdoor maintenance, either.
Own my modest single family home (or as other have said, the bank owns it).
Own a house and 13 acres. I’ve never actually rented - I lived with family (my parents, then my sister) until I bought my first house. I can’t imagine renting would work well for me. I have large dogs and little patience for noise.
