This video has been making the rounds: it’s several separate cuts of a housecat banging a hind leg against a wall or door with a high rate of fire.
Several decades ago we had a cat that did this, too. The cat in the video appears to have learned that this is an effective strategy for gettting someone to come and open the door, but for our own cat, I don’t have a clue as to why he did it; it never seemed like he was trying to get anyone’s attention when he did it.
Anyone have any idea? Is this something that’s seen in wild cat species too?
