Crap like adware and viruses are high up on the list of reasons I abandoned the windows platform after 8 years of using and owning PC’s. If I was still using x86 machines I’d be running anything other than windows on anything connected to the internet. The sheer volume of malware out there just waiting to infest your computer is overwhelming and no one anti-virus or spyware remover is going to be able to keep up with the growing number of malicious programs that threaten to infect your machine every time you go online.
